We are gradually overcoming the pandemic and are still more energetic than ever. This weekend we were lucky enough to be at the Open Science in Cambre, near one of our partners, IES David Buján.An event that brings together science in all its aspects, we could say that it is a STEAM event in which from the youngest to the adults can find interesting stands and learn new concepts. For our part, we have been in our AI+ stand, explaining what is artificial intelligence, internet of the things and robotics. We were lucky enough to have students from IES David Buján explaining their infographics. Thank you for inviting us, we hope that every day there will be more events like this! Great job!
Finally, the Galician education system is going to incorporate Artificial Intelligence as a Free Choice Material for students in the first year of Bachillerato.
Our project coordinator has been present telling the blocks of the subject and the importance of artificial intelligence in education.
On 22nd June an interview was held with the students of A Xunqueira from the AI+ project. We leave you the link to the website and also the podcast so that you don’t miss any detail of the interview.
Good job guys!!!
From 24 to 28 May we held our second training activity. Due to the global pandemic situation, both face-to-face and online activities were carried out. On-site we were working (and also enjoying Ferrol) with the partners of:
Telematically, using Microsoft Teams, we were all connected, learning how to use Robobo and the students also gave a presentation on “Myths and Realities of Artificial Intelligence”.
In person, the students learned how to program in Scratch and how the “RoboboSim” simulator works. After making the program in the simulator, they bought its use in the real one, quite an adventure!
And as it wasn’t all about work, they also carried out activities to get to know each other better and also to get to know Ferrol:
Today we will carry out a workshop to the students of A Xunqueira about Artificial Collective Intelligence. The AI+ project keeps on working to have better prepared generations.
