Open Science Cambre
This year we were lucky enough to participate in the Open Science in Cambre. Due to the health circumstances, it could not be a massive event like other years. Even so, we were able to explain the Ai+ project from our stand and also participate in the online event held.
In this case, the online event was held through the Twitch platform and allowed many users to access all the content of the event. In our case, we are very grateful to all the students and the organisation for having us.
We look forward to seeing you next year 😀
CSTA’s Annual Conference 2020
CSTA’s Annual Conference is a chance for computer science teachers to come together for learning, networking, and fun. We are a community of educators who are changing the lives of students every day in our classrooms. We are eager to share our knowledge and to learn from one another.
Our two-day virtual conference has over 100 sessions of education to broaden your knowledge of computer science education, inspirational keynotes and sessions to reinvigorate your passion for teaching, and countless moments of fun and connection along the way. If you are looking for new and exciting ways to engage with your students in your classroom, look no further than CSTA 2020. You don’t want to miss out on this great experience.
Goals in this project
We explain our main goals in this project:
- Reduce the gender gap:
AI education can reduce the gender gap in technical jobs if we engage girls to this topic. The interdisciplinarity and wide range of application fields of AI is a key feature to reach this goal.
- Reduce early school dropout:
AI can help reduce school dropout by designing a new discipline with a practical approach of interest to teens. This is why our curriculum is based on the learning by doing methodology.
- Equal opportunities:
The use of the smartphone as the main tool to teach #AI, equalizes the opportunities of regions with different economic levels.
Teaching Unit 3
New teaching unit ready for our students! They will develop the School Path Guide app based on Artificial Intelligence representation and reasoning, using AppInventor. We hope you like it 😉
